Attaining Absolute Freedom
Is there really such a thing as absolute freedom? What does it mean to be absolutely free? Free from what? So many people have asked these questions before. Most of them are dead and they died without even leaving us a very good answer. Why is that? Sometimes it makes me think that maybe the concept of being free and the question whether such a thing exists were given to man just so that he can have something to play with… something that will keep him from getting bored.
Q: Is there really such a thing as absolute freedom?
Oracle-Wizard Hybrid 2.0: There is and there isn’t.
Q: Why do you say that?
OWH 2.0: On one hand, there is because you are already absolutely free. You just don’t realize it. If you ask why, it’s because you don’t know it and cannot know it. Knowing involves thought, and absolute freedom doesn’t involve thought. On the other hand, one can become absolutely free if one has attained pure awareness, i.e. pure consciousness.

Q: How can we do that?
OWH 2.0: There is no “how.” Like I said, you cannot use the thinking process to attain pure consciousness. If you do that, the only thing you will acquire is constipation.
Q: If we cannot use thinking, then can we meditate until we get pure consciousness? I’ve heard that meditation allows you to control your thoughts and stop all the thinking.
OWH 2.0: Do you really think so? Are you really not thinking when you are meditating? Even if there is a way for you to stop thinking, how would you know that it is pure consciousness you are looking at when you see it if there is no one thinking of it?
Q: I see.
OWH 2.0: No, you don’t see. Duh!
